Choral Festival "Petra Matrix” |

The Choral Festival "Petra Matrix" is organized in Matera during the summer (June - July), in the most ancient churches and rock-churches of the Sassi and the historical center: just as example, San Pietro Barisano, Sant'Agostino, San Francesco d'Assisi, Madonna delle Virtù and so on. With this Festival, we want to create the possibility of new exchanges with other choirs, from Italy and foreign Countries, and "be choir" all together. It's a special experience, that create new friendships. We want also offer to the choirs - and to the numerous tourists that follow the Festival, a cultural and historical-artistic panorama of our Town: the festival, in fact, is organized in the "heart" of the ancient City, the Sassi, and its same title, "Petra Matrix", wants to be a homage to the stone, the rock that is the "mother" of our civilization.
